Dirk de Heer Completed PhD in Health Psychology in May 2009. Employed as a post-doctoral research associate at NIH’s National Human Genome Research instutute, social and Behavioral Research Branch. Submitted two manuscripts. Presenting his research at SBM meeting in Spring 2010 and will present research at 11th International Congress of Behavioral Medicine.
Norma Fernandez Expected PhD completion date in Health Psychology is May 2010. Manuscript to be submitted to Family and Community Health.Marisela Gutierrez Completed MA thesis in Clinical Psychology in December 2009. Enrolled in PhD program in Health Psychology. Presented research at the American Psychological Society (APS) meetings in May 2009. Will present her research at the 2010 APS meetings.

Samantha Ariaz Currently enrolled in MA program in Speech and Language Pathology.
Diane Arms Completed MA thesis in Clinical Psychology December 2009 and was Grad College Banner Bearer for graduation. Admitted to the clinical psychology PhD program at Texas A&M University. Manuscript to be submitted (with Norma Fernandez) Has been involved with the submission of two grant proposals.
Jacqueline Lopez Enrolled in MA program in Speech and Language Pathology. Presented research at the Texas Speech Language Hearing Association Meetings in March 2010.
Alma Ortega Enrolled in UTEP’s MPH program. Presented research at American Psychological Society (APS) meetings in May 2009. Will present her research at the APS meetings in 2010.
Sandra Ramirez Completed MA thesis in Sociology in December 2009, based on HHDRC research.Cristina Sanchez Completed MA thesis in 2009. Will present her HHDRC research at the Southwestern Sociological Association Meetings.
